Scenes from Day 46 (Grenada)

These next few photos are of a myriad of things, because, frankly, we've had that kind of day.

The weather was sunny and beautiful today on Grenada (pronounced gre-NAY-da), about 82 degrees, but we never left the port area. Grenada has the island's largest mall (probably its only mall), the Esplanade Mall right at the cruise ship dock in Roseau. And one thing we can count on at that mall is free, fast Internet. So we spent quite a bit of time making Skype calls and getting caught up with Internet stuff. We intended to take a walk around the Carenage and up to Fort George, but we never got around to it. We had lunch in the dining room, and by the time we were finished, it was 1:20pm, almost the time we'd have to be back on the ship (1:30pm).

Instead, we spent a long time in the hot tub on Deck 17 act watching sailaway (the Celebrity Constellation was in port with us, and there was some half-hearted horn blowing back and forth, probably demonstrating a bit of holiday cheer, as the two ships are owned by different companies and not normally on 'speaking' terms). Sailaway was gorgeous, and the Emerald Princess is currently on an almost direct westerly course, with arrival in Bonaire forecasted for noon tomorrow (12/24).

I did manage to snap this photo while I was passing by the Neptune's Reef pool. It reminded me of kid soup!
