While we were outside the World Fresh Marketplace, both Paquito and Amul found us and wanted to know where we had been this morning. We’re truly creatures of dining habit; even the crew has abreast figured that out.
I needed to finish last night’s blog post and add photos to it and then met up with G again on the Terrace Deck, this time for lunch. It was nearly empty back there (this ship almost never feels crowded), and sitting there at a table half in the sun, half in the shade with a light breeze blowing and surrounded by gorgeous mountains was about as good as it gets.
I opted to stay out of the pools and hot tub today. My face is getting a little pink-ish from all the time in the sun. Instead we stayed in the shade until it was time to get cleaned up for the evening.
G was very happy to see Black Forest cake back at the Elite Lounge this evening. Veggies, fruit and a bite of cake. Another good routine.
Service at “our” table for two was stellar tonight. In fact, we asked if it would be too much of an imposition to have a scoop of our favorite lemon sorbet as an intermezzo instead of a dessert and waiter Barran said that nothing was an imposition and G leaned over and again asked accusingly, “What did you do to them?” Nothing. I did nothing. But I can see how they got the impression that I was displeased. That’s okay. I was.
We skipped dessert to be on the Promenade Deck to catch the tail end of tonight’s sunset. Captain Baranski had said, in his welcome back to the ship announcement, that they would be conducting some speed tests on the aft something something and we would notice the ship doing circles when we first left Loreto. Well, that made watching the sunset interesting, as we had to keep moving from one side of the Promenade Deck to the other to see it.
Tonight’s entertainment was production show Sweet Soul Music, lifted in large part from our old favorite Motor City. We’ve seen one or the other of them so many times that I can still identify which song will be up next. Loved it, though International Cafe was behind a couple of ladies yesterday and they were talking about Disco, Blame it on the Boogie and how it was positively middle school. It’s not a Princess finest, and definitely feels “old” but we still enjoy it. They can’t all be Rock Operas and Encores.
Then we danced to the silent disco in the Piazza before listening to the Imperial String Duo in O’Malleys Pub, followed by comedian Jeff Norris, one of the best we’ve seen recently on Princess and seemingly a really nice guy, actively involved in Canines for Warriors in his spare time.
We move clocks ahead an hour overnight to get ready for Puerto Vallarta in two days. I’m ready for a “real” sea day, not a port day we turn into a sea day. Daytime activities, lunch in the Botticelli Dining Room, afternoon tea. Bring them on!
