[Autosaved] Day 18: Puerto Vallarta

I just lost today’s post as I was saving it….grrr.

Look what I just found!  The lost post from two days ago. It appeared in my Autosaved listing of posts that crashed before they were saved. I LOVE that feature! See, when I say I lost a post, it’s not just a “the dog ate my homework” story. And you may be able to see why I was so irritated that evening when it happened.

It was another light day, blog-wise (an accurate portender of the next few days’ posts too, what with a few five football games on the schedule). We were admittedly moving a little slowly after last night’s two Captains Circle parties…one of us VERY slowly. We awoke late, and I immediately decided to start a load of laundry before we headed up to a late breakfast in the World Fresh Marketplace. We’ve sent laundry out two times in the past two days, and last night received written notification that the last day to submit laundry would be today. However, we don’t generally send our “dinner” (aka evening) clothes to the ship’s laundry.  Those are the items we washed today, and hung some to dry in our cabin.

We spent the afternoon using the pools and hot tub. Today was the first day since we left home December 30 that we have seen 80°; it reached 83° today with a little more cloudiness and quite a bit more mugginess that we’ve had. It was a perfect day to be on the open decks.

The pirate ship has returned to Puerto Vallarta!
I’m not sure it’s operating, but it’s here.

The evening followed the usual routine:  Elite Lounge fare enjoyed on the Promenade Deck, dinner in the Michelangelo Dining Room and the 7pm Princess Theater show. Radio Recall with vocalists Jenna and Aaron was very entertaining and provided a great variety of music, but Aaron’s Gethsamene from his role as Jesus in the 50th anniversary remake of Jesus Christ Superstar would make a believer out of anyone. I got chills.

G got ice cream and I tea and we sat in the quiet solitude of the Terrace Deck enjoying the evening before calling it a day. We move clocks back an hour tonight, and plan to skip breakfast tomorrow, MTG luncheon day.
