We first went to breakfast in the Botticelli Dining Room. I’m a bit disconcerted to find one after another of our waiters being out ill, and I’m hearing more and more hard sneezes this cruise than last, but, so far (knocking on wood and anything remotely wood-like here) I am staying well.
I’m upping my Vitamin C intake as a precautionary measure
Our intention had been to take a taxi or Uber to Balandra Beach, supposedly one of the prettiest beaches in Mexico. The photos we’d seen certainly were beautiful.
The taxi sign stated that the fare would be $30 each way, but I checked Uber, not even certain whether there would be service, and it came up about $19, but with a 30 minute wait. That would have been fine; the taxi dispatcher said that entrance to the beach was limited and we wouldn’t be able to get in until 12:30pm, but it was an extremely windy day and we were getting sand blasted even in the protected area around the terminal. Coupled with the cool temps (around 70), we decided that the beach plan needed to be scrapped.

We had lunch- I’m sure we did- but it was more of a movable feast. Something from the International Cafe, something from the World Fresh Marketplace and I remember G having two slices of pizza at some point in time. Add Elite Lounge nibbles and is it any wonder that dinner was soup and salad?
We are lightly and quickly, wanting to be on the Promenade Deck for sunset. However, the entire port side was closed off for maintenance. Darn! I took these pics through the door glass, so if they look especially fuzzy, that might explain it.
We went to the Princess Theater to get seats for tonight’s show, entertainer Terron Brooks in his show called The Soul of Broadway. Based on the headshot I saw pre-show, I couldn’t wait to see Mr. Brooks. I was not disappointed.
We ran to Club Fusion for Laugh Lounge with comedian Kevin Bozeman, then to O’Malleys for the Imperial String Duo before calling it a night.
