Evening- Curacao

The best part of today was that the Noordam was staying in Curaçao until 11pm, affording us the opportunity to spend the evening walking around the waterfront area of Willemstad. With the Grandeur also staying late, it was hopping tonight. We had to return to a store we were at earlier today for G to get another baseball cap, because the 6 he already owns from Curacao simply aren't adequate for his needs. ;-)

Along the way we encountered everything from live music to dance teams to "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" played over a loudspeaker. Well, not exactly, but we're loving it anyway.

We will return to the ship in time for the 9:30pm Holland America version of the tropical island night party, held pool-side as on Princess. We've already seen some of the decorations for it, and they are impressive. It will be a new experience for us, and one we're looking forward to as a perfect end to a perfect day.

Photo 1: sunset tonight taken from the Renaissance pool and artificial beach with the Noordam in the background. This photo prompted G to ask once again, "Can you believe that this is OUR life?" Sometimes, but not always. This was one of those "not always" instances.
