Day 70: A glistening, juggling sea day

Today was another beautiful day at sea as we make our way back to Fort Lauderdale (tomorrow). The weather was perfect, the sun so bright that the water glistened. We awoke later than ever, just before 9am. I don't know what's happening with us...we are never so lazy at home. But maybe it's because we simply didn't have to get up and go anywhere today.

We completely missed breakfast in the dining room, and so ate in the buffet for the second day in a row. It's not bad...we had made-to-order omelets (mine with egg beaters) that were really good. G gets his same four juices as in the dining room, and I get my coffee, all served to us at our table. So although it's a buffet, it really is quite nice.

We had lunch with the ship's DJ (Rockit) who lives in Michigan. We've enjoyed our many conversations with him, and he filled us in on some changes to the entertainment formats on the ship beginning on the cruise starting tomorrow. It seems that Princess does work hard to respond to comments that passengers write in the surveys we take after each cruise.

After lunch, we wandered into the Piazza just in time for a juggling class by the jugglers who perform throughout the day in the Piazza, Team Rootberry. They started us juggling with just two scarves, and then we moved up to three scarves. Now, I have wanted to juggle forever, and have never gotten anywhere teaching myself, but these guys had me juggling at least five times in a row without dropping a scarf.  Progress!

We then went back to our cabin to finish sorting through the last of the mail. I'm kind of shocked; we had no issues at all after not receiving our mail for two months. What does that tell you about the future of mail service? Everything we do is on our iPhones...we really don't even need a laptop. It's a brave new world.

We went to the show in the Princess Theater after dinner tonight. I think we've only seen three shows this cruise: the two Beatle Maniacs shows and this one. Of course, we've watched three nights of football, which have been fun too. Well, not Saturday's games. But that Broncos-Steelers game- that was hugely entertaining.

We're planning to get off the ship early tomorrow, as soon as we arrive in Fort Lauderdale, and go for a long walk along the beach...IF we can get ourselves up before 9am.
