Captains Circle party #9

On our way back to the ship, we finally succumbed to the heat and the sun and climbed into a taxi that made us an offer we couldn't refuse. It wasn't until we we seated in the minivan that we realized this taxi had a huge open sun roof. We spent the ride back to the ship standing in the minivan, with our upper bodies sticking out through the roof. What a ride that was! Everybody was waving at us...it was a bit like being in a parade. Of course, it wasn't the safest way to ride, but it was definitely a most memorable one.

We returned to the ship around 3pm, ate a light lunch in the International Cafe, and watched saIlaway from a hot tub on the back of the ship. After dinner, it was time for this cruise's Captains Circle party. Captain Pomata, who was on board our first several cruises but who went home for the holidays, is back. He looked at us and said, "You're still here!". Yes, we are. You know you've been here awhile when you see captains rotate home and then back!
