Day 64: St. Thomas

We arrived in St. Thomas with big plans for the day. The is the first time in recent visits that our day in St. Thomas wasn't a weekend or a holiday, and it was time to get to the post office to mail a box of Christmas presents. Sad, but true. It simply hadn't gotten done yet. We left the ship as soon as it was cleared by the local authorities, walked as quickly as we could to the post office, and got back to the ship just as fast. Mission accomplished in 50 minutes. We still hadn't eaten breakfast yet, so we did that in the dining room, ran back to the cabin, threw our beach things in a bag and ran to the Crown Bay marina in time for the 10:30am ferry to Water Island.

Whew! This IS a relaxing vacation, right?

Well, from that point on, it WAS the best sort of beach day. Sunny and warm with no breeze. At least until 2pm or so...
