After the second Beatle Maniacs show, we went to Crooners Lounge to listen to one of the singers from the production shows, Leigh Hussman, perform some of her own music. She writes songs, plays guitar and has an incredible voice. Such talent...can you imagine going through life with the ability to do all that? Many of her songs were about long distance love, something that we could well relate to. All those years apart...but cruising like this is the payback!
After Leigh finished, we went up to Skywalkers for 60's video hour and trivia. Now, we don't really dance (grrr...not because I don't want to), but it was fun to see the entertainment that DJ Rockit had put together. He is from Detroit and works on ships during the winter. We've had lots of conversations about growing up in that part if the country. Rockit told us that the Emerald Princess orchestra was playing in the Adagio lounge, so we then raced there to catch some of that, and, wow, we had our third great live music performance of the evening.
