G made a liar out of me this morning, and surprised me by ordering breakfast in bed. A large pot of that delicious coffee, muffins, eggs, hash browns, ham steak and fruit. Let's just say we're not leaving HAL hungry! We liked that we could stay in our cabin until our group was called to disembark at 9:30am. Another nice touch...as we entered the terminal, there were at least 10 HAL crew members, from chefs to porters, standing in a line to say goodbye to the disembarking passengers. Lots of smiles and thank you's, and that's a very nice last interaction to remember the cruise by.
We'll definitely return to HAL (as I mentioned, we actually purchased a Future Cruise Deposit), and there were a lot of things done well on the Nieuw Amsterdam. But, we're on the move again, and a $10 taxi ride took us to our next destination, within sight of the Nieuw Amsterdam but a world of difference away...
