We traveled this island from north to south today, on roads that twist and turn and traverse up and down mountains. It reminded us of the road to Hana on Maui, except that the roads were not nearly in as good a condition as in Hawaii. We finally made it to the town of Soufriere at the base of the famous Pitons. This was the first, and last, time we've made this trek by land. In the past we've done it by boat along St. Lucia's western coast.
Boat is definitely better.
We returned to the ship just before it sailed. We've now had our dinner, and I'm too tired tonight to go to see Motor City (a favorite) or the Beatle Maniacs second show (another favorite) tonight. We're tucked away in our cabin already. We arrive in Barbados early tomorrow (7am) and we have a big day planned there too.
