We saw the mansions of the family who founded Staples, the Wells family (of Wells Fargo), Bert Reynolds' and Merv Griffin's old homes (these were quite small, relatively speaking), and the multiple huge mansions of the family who founded and owns Auto Nation. Many of the mansions belonged to the owners of the largest (pick one: Porche, Lexus, Jaguar) dealership conglomerates in the country. And what was amazing was that a $30 million mansion would have a multi-million dollar statuary near the pool, and a $50 million yacht at the dock. One mansion even had a bell tower that chimes on the hour.
Like I said, the excess was mind-numbing.
