We had a bit of a sleep in this morning. Three straight days of long walks, buses and beaches had taken a bit of a toll. Besides, St. Thomas is first and foremost a business day for us. After breakfast in the dining room, we started out on a long walk from Crown Bay, on the west side of Charlotte Amalie (pronounced a-MAL-ya) to Havensight on the east side, to go to Scotia Bank. We needed some cash and we're also awaiting delivery of an ATM card for Scotia. It's a bit of a walk over there, about 3.5 miles, and the first part of it isn't that scenic, but about halfway there the sidewalk adjoins the harbor, and there is something to see in every direction.
We passed a building that houses Seaborne Aviation, a float plane company servicing the various small islands in the area. It is fascinating to watch the float planes take off and land amongst all the sailboats moored in the harbor.
