I Heard it through the Grapevine

One of my favorite songs in Motor City.

Motor City, one last time

We attended the Captain's Welcome Aboard Champagne party this evening. Kind of. We exited the dining room just as the champagne was being distributed, so, of course, it seemed appropriate to take a glass. We ended up standing right where the senior officers were gathering for their introductions at the party. I had a chance to talk with Captain Georgio Pomato, and it was the perfect opportunity to thank him and his entire ship's company for the absolutely incredible experience we've had this winter on the Emerald Princess. As I told him, we've made memories that we'll treasure forever.
As we encounter different crew members that we might not see again, we're saying thanks and good bye. Something tells me this is going to be a difficult departure...
We then attended our final Motor City performance of the cruise. Was it because we sat in a different location in the theater, or was it because we knew that this was it...for some reason, it seemed special tonight. We might know the song sequence and dance steps by heart, but we loved it just the same. We've met so many of the dancers and singer Leigh Hussman over the past several cruises; it's fun to look at them as individuals as they perform.

More Motor City...and a football game

Yes, we saw Motor City again last night. Yes, this was our fourth time this season alone. Yes, we love it.

Afterwards, we went up to MUTS to watch the Saints game. I love the Saints because young ones I love love the Saints. Makes perfect sense to me! And it was a thrill to see Brees' record breaking performance on the big screen.

Part 5

This is to the song 'I heard it through the grapevine".

Part 4

Part 3

This section of the show features the music of the Supremes, and starts out with an interesting silhouette of the three singers, and then they flip around the screen and walk through it.

Part 2

Motor City, one more time: part 1

We really like this production show, and one other one, "I Got the Music" best of the four that are performed every cruise. So we saw it again, for either the second or third time this season.

Motor City "Superstition"

This blacklighted segment is performed to the song "Superstition".

More Motor City

This is a creative introduction to the Supremes segment of the show.

Scenes from Motor City

This production show (singers and dancers) is our favorite of the four that are performed on this ship.
