Day 16: At Sea

Today was essentially our ninth sea day in a row (since we didn’t get off the ship in Tahiti or Moorea). Ninth!  Never did I ever imagine we’d experience that, but with my foot misbehaving and G enduring a bit of an inner ear infection, we didn’t have much choice. We spent most of today in the cabin watching more documentaries on TV. All of our iDevices are full of video we had downloaded before we left home, which is a good thing. I have a feeling we will have watched every on demand program on TV that we have the slightest interest in before we get to Sydney. It’s nice to have backup.

Lunch was pizza (for G) and a California toast made vegan (for me) from Slice, the pizzeria on the Lido Deck. For dinner, I had all three starters on the menu and stopped at that. They were all delicious.

Tonight’s Princess Theater entertainment was comedian Steve Bruner.  It was nice to have a different sort of entertainment...we’ve had a lot of singers lately (not that we haven’t enjoyed them). Have I mentioned that we only have three production shows on this entire 28 day cruise?  That seems very light, and since most of our upcoming cruises are in the 14 day range, that’s light even for a two week cruise.

Tomorrow...land!  I don’t know if we’re more excited by the mere prospect of walking on terra firms after nine days, or the fact that it’s American Samoa, which is so beautiful. Either way, it’s a good thing.
