By the time I finished washing out and hanging up everything to dry, and showered myself, I was almost too tired to go to dinner. We did note that hors doerves are being served again in Skywalkers, but we didn't have enough time to go tonight, and instead went directly to dinner. Hungry! We were starved. Fruit Loops does not a lunch make, and so we had three courses plus dessert tonight. We had the luxury of time too; we were skipping the production show Disco: Blame it on the Boogie in favor of a second, all new show by pianist Stephen Kane accompanied by the Emerald Princess orchestra. We sat where I could watch the piano keys and G could watch the saxophonist and bass player and we were both thrilled with the performance. Stephen played everything from Ragtime to Pop and finished with Rhapsody in Blue. G said I never stopped smiling. I loved, loved, loved having two good shows from which to choose and especially loved enjoying the talent of very talented people. Magicians, ventriloquists and hypnotists just don't do it for us: musicians do.
After walking around a bit and then sitting and talking with some cruise friends, it was 10pm and time for bed. We're in St. Thomas tomorrow with three other ships, one of them the Ruby Princess, and we knew we had a 50% chance of being at Crown Bay and a 50% chance of being at Havensight. Frenchie announced it after the show...we'll be at Havensight, for the third time this winter. While we generally prefer to be at Crown Bay to go to Water Island, we need to mail some letters and get cash from the Scotia bank, and both can be conveniently down at Havensight. We may try to climb that steep hill again. Pray for me. (Ask for the shirtless male pole dancers to be at the top too, please).
