Observing the unloading of the ferry on Water Island, it was clear that it serves as a lifeline for people living on the island. Everything that they use has to be bought on St. Thomas and hauled to Water Island on the little ferry boat. 6 or 8 kids disembarked the 3:30pm ferry wearing their school uniforms, returning home after a day at school.
Second photo: the ferry back at Crown Bay on St. Thomas, dwarfed by the large yachts docked there.
