We had an easy day yesterday, which was a good thing, because when we returned to our cabin last night just before midnight after we'd left it at 5pm to go to Skywalkers, you can tell it was a pretty full evening.
First, sailaway in Skywalkers with drinks and friends was beautiful. Then dinner in the dining room (G wants me to mention the cherries jubilee for dessert!), and then the first of two Beatle Maniacs shows. As I think I mentioned in an earlier post, the shows are being shortened to 30 minutes each, from about 45-50 minutes each in prior cruises. Then, instead of being performed twice each evening, they are now performed three times. We haven't yet made up our minds whether we like this new format, but one thing we are certain of is that 30 minutes of the Beatle Manics is simply not enough. I didn't know how they were going to shorten their show (and they weren't entirely certain themselves when we saw them earlier in the day in the International Cafe), but they did, and even to us, who have seen their show seven times previously this season, the changes were not apparent. We were still on our feet and dancing by the show's end, just like before, so life is good.
