We had met the Director of Operation at Princess Cays, Brian, on a prior visit and today we met his wife Kandace. Theirs is an interesting story. They have a house on the beach on Princess Cays. After years of managing operations at the Caneel Bay resort on St. John in the USVI (him) and 7 stores there (her) they accepted the job running Princess Cays and its gift shops three years ago. They live there year around, and weathered a hurricane in late August. In fact, theirs was the first report out that damage at the resort would not preclude them receiving the first ship in late September. We were waiting anxiously for word of that, as the resort has had to close for months in past years as a result of hurricane damage.
