Our 10am arrival put us last in the pecking order for berth location. A Carnival ship snagged the closest berth to the terminal, with a freighter in the next best spot. A Silversea ship (ultra premium- about 10 times what we're paying) was in the first spot on the second pier, and we are docked furthest from the terminal building. I'm sure they're running a shuttle bus back and forth, but it's a nice walk, and will give us a chance to see the Silversea ship (and its passengers) up close.
The Emerald really churned up the harbor in its efforts to reverse into its berth behind the Silversea Silver Spirit.
We enjoyed a nice breakfast in the dining room at a table for six, and are ready to start planning our day. One of the benefits of doing these cruises (as opposed to a World Cruise) is that we don't have to have all sorts of plans in place for the ports...we just see how we feel in the morning when we arrive. And today we're feeling a bit slow.
